Sun Day

Representations of data from NY-Sun on total installed solar capacity in New York State since 2010. NY-Sun is a public-private partnership working to ensure a coordinated, well-supported solar energy expansion plan in NY and a transition to a sustainable energy future. The shawl, scarf, and suns were created as part of a collaboration between AWI and Third Act Upstate New York in celebration of Sun Day (September 21, 2025), a day of action celebrating solar and wind and the movement to leave fossil fuels behind.
