Tempestries

Climate change is one of the most important threats to Adirondack waters. The Tempestry Project is a large collaborative fiber art project combining environmental awareness, climate activism, and art. Tempestries like these depict the daily high temperature for a given year and location, with January at the bottom and December at the top and Tempestry collections have been created for many locations around the world. This one was done in linen stitch and compares daily high temperatures in Long Lake for 1983 and 2020.
