Wool and Water

  • Darrin Fresh Water Institute 5060 Lake Shore Drive Bolton Landing, NY, 12814 United States (map)

Join AWI Senior Research Scientist Michale Glennon at the Darrin Freshwater Institute summer lecture series to hear about Wool and Water.

Wool and Water is a collaborative project that blends fiber art with scientific information to create visual representations of changing water quality conditions in the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain Basin. Launched in association with the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act in 2022, the aim of this project is to showcase the legacy of protecting clean water in the Champlain Basin and beyond. Michale will share examples from the project, what we’ve learned in 3+ years of communicating watershed science with fiber art, and how to get involved!
