Water Hub

  • Innovation Hub 2495 Main St Lake Placid, NY 12946 (map)

Water is everywhere in the Adirondack Park. The park is home to over 3,000 lakes and ponds that are vital to the communities of the Adirondacks and beyond. Stop by the Innovation Hub on Main Street in Lake Placid to learn about the waters of the Adirondacks from the people who are dedicated to studying, stewarding, and communicating the importance of clean water in the park.

Adirondack Watershed Institute staff will be hosting various stations at the Innovation Hub. Bring the whole family for a virtual reality experience, water-based games, activities, and information.

Adirondack Water Week is being held August 5th-14th, 2022. This year’s celebration highlights the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act with events being held across the Adirondacks.

This program is funded by a grant from the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership through the Lake Champlain Basin Program and it’s fiduciary agent, the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC). As per their requirements to support events that keep all participants as safe as possible and promote the well-being of our community, NEIWPCC requires all individuals who participate in NEIWPCC-funded events to be fully vaccinated in order to attend.
