Watercraft Decontamination Program Manager

Peter began working for AWI in the summer of 2016, performing lake surveys across the Adirondacks. After two summers of lake and pond surveys, he joined the dive team doing milfoil removal on Lake Colby and Long lake. In 2022 he joined the decontamination team as program assistant and became program manager in 2023. He has worked as a ski/ snowboard technician at Whiteface during the winter season as well as doing maple syrup work seasonally. Peter also worked for Spencer Boatworks, where he performed maintenance and restoration of wooden and fiberglass boats.
Growing up, he spent most his summers racing sailboats across central New York and taught sailing for several years. In his free time, he raises farm animals and enjoys foraging along with an assortment of other outdoor activities.
