Water Quality - Data Sonde

The USL Environmental Monitoring Platform is equipped with a data sonde with sensors that measure water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, turbidity, chlorophyll-a, and phycocyanin (pigment in cyanobacteria/blue-green algae). The sonde measures these variables every hour and the data is transmitted to Paul Smith's College. Every six hours the sonde is automatically deployed to the bottom of the lake, collecting data every meter to develop vertical profiles. This page displays the latest vertical profiles for water temperature, dissolved oxygen, and chlorophyll-a.
