Research Technician II

2021 B.S. Biology, SUNY Empire

Carli began working at AWI spring of 2021 as a seasonal decontamination technician for the stewardship program, helping prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. She then became a research technician at the AWI lab the following spring after earning her biology degree at SUNY Empire State College that winter. Before starting at AWI, Carli assisted with winter raptor surveys by studying their habitats and completing bird counts. When she's not in the lab or in the field, Carli enjoys spending her free time outside either birding, kayaking, or snowshoeing.
